Texas exam answer

What score does Texas require?

Texas DPS's January 2026 Driver Handbook requires 70% or better on a Class C knowledge exam, but the handbook does not publish a fixed question count. The absolute minimum correct therefore depends on the exam delivered. This independent practice uses 10- and 20-question sessions with original, source-linked explanations.

Choose a practice mode

Start short. Learn from every answer.

All three modes mix federal traffic-control standards with Texas-specific rules. The percentage you see is a practice score, not an official result.

What this set covers

Texas rules, not a recycled national bank.

Launch coverage includes unpaved-road and frontage-road right-of-way, school-bus red lights, emergency vehicles, Move Over speed reduction, 100-foot signaling, parking distances, headlights, roundabouts, texting, open containers, and under-21 zero tolerance.

Texas DPS restricts actual Class C test distribution. This project does not collect, publish, or imply access to those test items.
